Young Adults in the Israeli Movement for Progressive Judaism will be a home for young adults who are either alumni of the movement, feel an ideological connection to the Movement or Young Olim who grew up in the liberal Jewish world abroad and are now searching for a new community with Israelis. Shonim is a place for these young adults to be able to come together to form a community, participate in programs, study together, and initiate their own ideas. Shonim's programs will give the young adults a home, a community, and the chance to make an impact on Israeli society, making it a more democratic and just society, and hence a more Zionist society.
