Eligibility
The PresenTense 2012 Global Institute is open to anyone who has an idea for a sustainable and replicable idea to transform the Jewish community. We look for people who are passionate about social action, excited about Jewish development, devoted to the environment, committed to advancing Jewish education, focused on Israel, and everything in between!
Experience and Education: The Fellowship program is optimized for individuals ages 22-40, with suggest work experience of 3-10 years and previous leadership experience.
Geographic Recruitment: We are currently recruiting fellows from the Diaspora, in locations where we currently do not have local fellowships. That said, if you are from Israel, or a city in the US which currently has a local fellowship, and still want to apply to the Global Institute, you may still do so, just know that there will be strong competition.
Chairs: We also recruit for ventures in specific areas based on chairs. What is a chair? They are organizations that sponsor a person and/or idea in a specific area of Jewish life to participate in the Global Fellowship.
Past chairs have included the American Joint Distribution Committee, The Covenant Foundation, iCenter and the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Foundation.
We accept applicants with everything from ideas to established ventures. See how some successful ventures launched out of the PresenTense Global Institute initially came to us:
